Real estate prices keep going up in Richmond – especially for mansions in farmland.
A 14,000-square-foot mansion on Finn Road sold in 2022 for about $13.5, but the same house is now on the market for $4 million more.
A listing at Real Estate Weekly shows the asking price for the farmland mansion at 8731 Finn Rd. is $17.88 million.
The property has an indoor pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna as well as a gym, wine cellar and a wet bar.
“The private landscaped garden showcases waterfalls, a private tennis court, organic vegetable and fruit gardens, 6 garages, and ample visitor parking,” reads the ad. “A true delight to showcase!”
The house, built in 2012, sits on a 15-acre lot that is in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR).
In 2018, Richmond city council passed a bylaw limiting the size of house in the ALR to about 5,000 square feet.
Annual property taxes in 2024 were about $31,500.
