Local Richmond company Sandhar Trucking knows that time is money when it comes to shipping.
Every day that a container sits in the Port of Vancouver can cost customers hundreds to thousands of dollars in storage fees, which is why the company works with its clients to pick up their goods for transport as soon as possible.
“Once that container comes into Canada, we’re doing our best job to be proactive,” manager Aaron Sandhar says.
“We’re searching the containers ahead of time and informing our customers if customs has put a hold on them, we’re making sure the necessary paperwork has been completed to pick up the containers as soon as their off the vessel, which saves our customers money.”
Sandhar Trucking is one of the few companies in Canada that has access to the Port of Vancouver and operates a bonded warehouse in addition to offering seamless import and export services.
“We’re doing our part to help the supply chain in Canada by acting as a one-stop shop,” Sandhar says.
Sandhar Trucking is authorized to access all major ports and rails in Greater Vancouver, including Deltaport, Vanterm, Centerm, Fraser Surrey Docks, CN Rail and CP Rail.
Its warehouse is bonded by the Canada Border Services Agency, which allows the company to conduct intact container examinations. Their facility is approximately 100,000 square feet, it has 12 loading docks and grade doors as well as seven railcar loading bays.
Sandhar Trucking has the ability to transport goods in-bond to their own warehouse, conduct the CBSA exam and deliver it after it’s been released.
Sandhar has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years. They’ve increased their fleet size, expanded their warehouse and office, and added new members to their team.
