If you've been finding all the sun and heat to be a little much, this weekend may be just the ticket in Burnaby.
Burnaby's Weatherhood local forecast is calling for a slightly cooler weekend, with some cloud cover mixed in with the sunshine. Saturday is expected to reach a high of 24 C, and Sunday should reach a high of about 22 C.
That will offer a reprieve from today (Friday, July 28), with a projected high of 27 C this afternoon.
The heat looks set to return next week, too, with the temperature climbing back up to a high of 26 C on Tuesday and 27 C by Wednesday.
The air quality, meanwhile, remains good in Burnaby and throughout Metro Vancouver.
Weatherhood's air quality map shows the entire Lower Mainland currently sitting in the "green" zone, with an AQI reading of less than 25 throughout the region.
The Metro Vancouver Air Map site shows five of Burnaby's six monitoring stations at a health index of 2, or low risk — while the sixth, on Burnaby Mountain, sits at 1, the lowest possible risk level.
