There are plenty of ways to beat the heat and be entertained at the Burnaby Village Museum this weekend.
The museum is offering up its ice cream-making workshops on Saturdays throughout July and August at the farmhouse kitchen. For $8.85 (cost includes a spin on the carousel), participants can churn the hand-cranked ice cream maker and create some old-fashioned vanilla ice cream.
Children under 15 must register with an adult. While pre-registering is recommended, drop-ins are welcome if there’s space.
For those not into making their own, there is the onsite Ice Cream Parlour. The parlour offers meals, baked goods, drinks and treats, including a range of ice cream flavours.
