The Burnaby Heights Neighbourhood Association and the local library want you to cut down on waste.
The two are teaming up to host a talk on Wednesday, March 13, featuring Tracey Tobin, an environmental officer with the City of Burnaby. Tobin will talk about how residents can help the city reach its goal of 70 per cent waste reduction by 2015.
She'll speak about the city's recycling programs, including options for yard waste and food scraps. The talk starts at 7:30 p.m. It's free, but space is limited, so register by calling 604-299-8955.
