Leading the way was Patrick Street Productions, a theatre company founded in Burnaby by then-Burnaby residents Peter Jorgensen and Katey Wright.
The company, now based in New Westminster, earned five awards for its Light In the Piazza - including Outstanding Professional Production.
Jorgensen took the nod for Outstanding Director, while Sean Bayntun and Kerry O'Donovan earned the Outstanding Music Director award.

He shared the award with New Westminster's Sayer Roberts, who won for his work with Exit 22's Cinderella and Gateway Theatre's Sound of Music.
New Westminster's Linzi Voth won in the female category for Anything Goes and Will Rogers Follies.
Another Burnaby connection earned a nod for Outstanding Choreography - Metro Theatre's 42nd Street, which was directed by retired Burnaby North drama teacher Alison Schamberger. Dawn Ewen was the choreographer.
A New Westminster company, Dragon Diva Productions, earned the Outstanding Community Production - Small Theatre award for its production of H.M.S. Pinafore. It was won in a tie with Fighting Chance Productions' A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
