Love curling up with a good mystery?
Then this one is most definitely for you.
The McGill branch of Burnaby Public Library is presenting Crime Time Trio on Monday, June 13 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Authors Cathy Ace, Don Hauka and Allan Emerson will be on hand for an evening of readings and discussion.
Ace is a Maple Ridge resident and the author of the Cait Morgan Mystery series. She won the 2015 Bony Blithe Award for the best Canadian light mystery for a recent novel in that series, The Corpse with the Platinum Hair. Her new series features the women of the WISE Enquiries Agency – one of the partners is Welsh, one Irish, one Scottish and one English.
Hauka, a New Westminster resident, has worked in print, broadcast, new media, stage and screen. His latest novel Pizza 911: A Mister Jinnah Mystery, is the third featuring his larger-than-life crime-reporter-turned-sleuth.
The Saskatchewan-born Emerson, who now lives in Port Coquitlam, is the author of Death of a Bride and Groom, described as a “small-town mystery with humour.”
Signed copies of their books will be available for sale (cash only), and light refreshments will be served.
Their reading night is free, but space is limited, so sign up online at www.bpl.bc.ca/events or call 604-299-8955. The McGill library branch is at 4595 Albert St.
