It's shaping up to be a busy weekend in Burnaby!
You can check out traditional Chinese music and dance performances at Metropolis at Metrotown for Lunar New Year, or head to the Metrotown library branch to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons. On Friday, Burnaby Pride will host a "Pride Plunge" event.

The Music Man at Michael J. Fox Theatre
This Tony Award-winning musical comedy is a sure bet for laughs, and you can watch it this weekend performed by local theatre professionals, Align Entertainment.

Pride Plunge
Burnaby Pride is hosting an all-bodies swim to welcome Two Spirit, trans and gender diverse folks and allies to a safe, fun and inclusive swim with music, prizes and socializing.

Lunar New Year events at Metrotown mall
Head to Metropolis at Metrotown mall to check out some of B.C.’s top chefs, including Quang Dang, Katy Cheung, Chanthy Yen and Haan Palcu-Chang, who will show off their techniques.
Traditional Chinese music will be performed by BC Chinese Music Association from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a traditional Chinese dance performance by Colours of Dance Academy from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Introduction to Dungeons and Dragons
Have you ever wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons but didn’t know where to start? YVR Dungeon Masters is hosting an introductory event in a comfortable environment.
“Our skilled game masters will have characters prepared and dice ready, so all you need to do is sit at the table,” says the event description.
The hosts are ready to explain the basics of how to play, and guests will play through an adventure.
