More people than ever are ordering food online for either delivery or takeout.

Now you can do takeout in an actual shopping mall in Burnaby. Metropolis at Metrotown is offering a new service with a number of its restaurants with plans to add more as time goes on.

It's a good idea because lines at the food court can be really long at Metropolis.

“We’re now offering a new online restaurant ordering service,” says the mall in a posting online. “Skip the line and order online at a participating restaurant. Your orders go directly to the restaurant for preparation – no third-party app needed! Place your order today and collect your meal at the counter. A local delivery service will also be launched shortly.”

You don’t need a third-party app in order to use this service. You just go to this site in this sentence and then order.

Place your order today and pick it up or get it delivered.

Participating restaurants:

  • Hellcrust Pizza
  • Hula Poke
  • Togo Sushi
  • Tsujiri
  • Zubu
  • American Cheesesteak
  • Big Orange Juice Bar
  • Buffle Waffle Café

Until November 24, get a $5 discount on your order (minimum purchase of $10).
