London Drugs stores in Burnaby and New Westminster are recalling two kinds of face masks used to protect from COVID-19, including one type that has “small holes” in them.
One recall is for a type of KN95 face masks that come in a pack of five and have the UPC 0-62823-74870-5.
“A voluntary product recall has been issued for the above product due to a manufacturing error,” reads a notice. “Some units were shipped with small holes along the seams of the masks which may affect the masks’ filtration efficacy.”
A second recall was issued for Medura disposable face masks in packs of 10 (UPCs 0-68156-80216-9 and 6-28011-12402-9).
“Some units were shipped with only a plastic nose strip, rather than a metal nose strip (enclosed in plastic) as stated on the package which may affect the fitting,” reads a posting by the company.
