It was left behind at a business on Kingsway and now Burnaby RCMP are trying to trace it.
“Luckily items like these have serial numbers,” RCMP tweeted out. “Did you know police can track stolen items Canada-wide? With Christmas just a couple days away, it’s a good time to remind everyone to track their household valuables. Create an inventory list of serial numbers, make, model, etc, of all your valuables. If there is no serial number, create one and engrave it on the item somewhere.
“If you are engraving something, make it visible. Thieves don’t like engraved items – harder to sell. Save your list in multiple locations that are easily accessible. If you are the victim of theft, this information gives police a better chance of identifying your items.”
