A Burnaby animation company is bringing joy to children this holiday season.

Arcana Studio recently announced a donation of thousands of toys and books to Big Brothers Big Sisters Langley.

The donation included a collection of beloved children's books including Randolph the Reindeer and The Littlest Tardigrade, as well as Pixies plush toys.

"Each title and toy was carefully chosen to spark imagination and encourage young readers to explore the world of literature and creativity," a news release said.

Randolph the Reindeer tells the story of an underdog reindeer who proves that courage and determination can make all the difference.

The Littlest Tardigrade introduces children to the microscopic marvels of the natural world, featuring an inspiring story of resilience and discovery while Pixies plush toys bring to life enchanting creatures from Arcana's magical worlds.

“We believe that stories have the power to change lives,” Arcanda Studio Founder and CEO Sean Patrick O'Reilly said in a news release.

“This holiday season, we wanted to give back by providing these wonderful books and toys to children who are part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. It’s our way of spreading joy and fostering a love of learning and adventure in the hearts of young readers.”

Big Brother Big Sisters of Langley will distribute the toys and books to children and family in need during the holidays.

"We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Arcana Studio for their generous donation of books to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, which will have a lasting impact on the youth we serve and help foster a love of reading and learning," Executive Director Roslyn Henderson added.
