'Chance of flurries' in Burnaby, says forecast we all hope is wrong

Spring can't come soon enough
Flurries

Metro Vancouver could be in for some flurries this weekend, according to the latest mid-range forecast from Environment Canada.

And we all hope this weather forecast is just plain wrong.

Seriously, we've had enough of this.

After a sunny next few days over Burnaby and the rest of the Lower Mainland, the Meteorological Service of Canada is predicting a blast of rain showers over the weekend as an ‘Atmospheric River’ originating in Hawaii hits B.C.’s North and Central coasts before weakening and slumping southward.

By Sunday, the rain could turn to flurries as temperatures are expected to dip going into the evening.

Should the forecast hold, that would mean snow on March 14, less than a week before the first day of spring.
