Residents of the George Derby Centre were treated to an early Grey Cup surprise on Nov. 23.
The Grey Cup itself and the CFL's Jake Gaudaur Veterans' Trophy were brought to the centre for a special ceremony to recognize the winner of the Gaudaur trophy. The award recognizes a Canadian Football League player who best demonstrates the attributes of Canada's veterans, and it was won by Toronto Argonaut Andre Durie.
The Grey Cup, of course, was played on Sunday, with the B.C. Lions triumphing over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 34-23.
