This letter writer believes better road maintenance along one of Burnaby's major thoroughfares would save lives.

I am a Burnaby resident for more than 40 years and a frequent user of Boundary Road from East Hastings at the north to Marine Way at the south end.
It has always troubling me every year in the winter (especially from the section of Spruce Street to Kincaid Street that has suddenly narrowed down) that there is no reflector paint on the curbside (northbound) that I almost run on to the curved side lawn.
It will be a good investment if the city or road maintenance authority can see how to improve the condition which will not only prevent future accident to happen, but also save lives.
