A letter writer is thanking Burnaby bylaw officers for responding to safety concerns near Lyndhurst School.

The Editor:

This is a letter of thanks to Jo, Jenny, Anne, and Dmittrii from the City of Burnaby/Community Safety/Bylaw Services and every other person involved for quickly and efficiently addressing our safety concerns and requests for "No Parking" signs on the north side of Lyndhurst School.

This went a long way to help ensure the safety of our children and we are grateful.

Another big thanks to Michelle Biagini, a parent/and PAC member who worked hard to explain our concerns to the construction workers who were parking bumper to bumper all summer on Still Creek adjacent to the school.

At that point, we did not have signs restricting them from parking there.

And, last but certainly not least, a HUGE thank-you to the construction workers who, after reading Michell's note and hearing her explanations, refrained from parking on Still Creek even while we were waiting for the signs to be installed!

An amazing group effort.

Thanks to All.
