Live TV show in Burnaby

New comedy show will be taped in front of a live studio audience in South Burnaby

Burnaby residents are invited to be part of a studio audience for the taping of a new comedy TV series being produced right here in town.

Package Deal is a 13-episode, half-hour series from critically acclaimed creator Andrew Orenstein (Malcolm in the Middle, 3rd Rock from the Sun), which is slated to air on Citytv in 2013.

The show stars Canadian comedian Harland Williams (Dumb & Dumber) and Jay Malone (Monk) in an ensemble cast about three overly-close brothers and the woman who comes between them.

Package Deal is currently the only Canadian adult sitcom to be shot in front of a live studio audience, according to producers.

Live tapings start this Sunday, Oct. 28 and then run every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Burnaby.

The studio is located at 8999 Fraserton Crt. (off North Fraser Way in South Burnaby). If you are interested in reserving seats for Nov. 8, 15, or 22, email [email protected].
