Police responded to a rollover crash in Burnaby Sunday night.

A vehicle rolled multiple times after being hit at a Burnaby intersection Sunday night, but the 68-year-old driver inside didn't appear to have any serious injuries, according to police.

Burnaby RCMP responded to reports of a crash at Smith Avenue and Forest Street just before 8 p.m., according to an emailed statement from the detachment.

"It appears an Acura and Volkswagen collided in an intersection after the driver of the Acura failed to stop at a stop sign," stated the email.

The Volkswagen, driven by the 68-year-old woman, rolled multiple times after the impact.

The woman was taken to hospital as a precaution but did not appear to have any serious injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Acura, a 23-year-old man, was not injured.

There was no indication of impairment, according to police, but the man was issued two violation tickets for driving without due care and attention and failing to obey stop sign.

An unoccupied SUV parked on the street also sustained some damage, police said.
