Spring break is coming to an end but there is still plenty to do during the last few days. We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do in Burnaby.

We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do in Burnaby. This week, events range from fun with the kids to romantic candlelit dinners.

1 Get scavenging at the Burnaby Village Museum and Carousel's spring break scavenger hunt, with villains, heroes and quirky characters from classic children's stories.

There are also crafts and live performances, and the Ice Cream Parlour is open for meals and treats.

The event runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. There is special event pricing for the spring break activities. For more information, call 604-297-4565.

2 Get saving energy during Earth Hour on Saturday night, from 8: 30 to 9: 30 p.m.

Earth Hour is a global initiative organized by the World Wildlife Fund, to show people how to conserve energy and the effect it can have.

For those who want a night out, the Riverway Clubhouse is switching to candlelight for Earth Hour, with a special candlelight dinner menu.

3 Get dancing at a Japanese folk dance workshop, Shall we Japanese Folk Dance? Learn basic steps and a few easy dances. No previous dance experi ence is neces sary.

Male participants are most welcome. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and bring a tenugui, cotton towel, if they have one.

4 Get out and admire model cars at the 29th annual model car contest and swap meet, put on by the Automotive Model Builders of Vancouver from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cameron Community Centre, 9523 Cameron St.

It's a model car show for the entire family. Spectator admission is $3 but children under 12 accompanied by an adult get in free. For more information, go to www.vancouver modelcars.ca. 5 Get registered to vote and make sure you're on the voters' list for the May 14 provincial election. Registration drives are taking place throughout the city until Saturday.
