Sgt. Jennifer Pound, media relations officer for IHIT, said Tuesday that the victim's next of kin had not yet been notified.

The body was found in the bushes off Fareham Avenue and Elwell Road in the George Derby Conservation Area and reported to Burnaby RCMP around 9 a.m. Friday morning.

Pound said Monday that police are still not ready to release any information regarding the victim's sex, cause of death, or how long the victim had been at that location.

More information about the autopsy results was not available by press time.
