Get ready to experience the finest summer sounds in the great outdoors for free as two different performance programs start up at Burnaby parks.
Burnaby’s Sounds Like Summer program will bring live music to parks all over the city every Wednesday to Friday July 5 to Aug. 30, including the dreamy vocals of Teresa Marie, fun tunes with Ricardo and Sabrielle, and R&B with singer-songwriter Glisha.
Musicians will share their art at parks including Deer Lake Park, Burnaby Mountain, Central Park, Fraser Foreshore, Edmonds, Burnaby Heights, Brentwood, David Gray, George Maclean and more.
Musicians will also include Ciro Vivancos Hernandez, Adrienne Robles, Tess Anderson, Harmeet Kaur Virdee and Caitlin Fong.

Then you can find free live performances with Summer Stages by the spray park at Confederation Park.
With two showtimes every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., performers will include Alastair McMurray’s gentle guitar folk ballads, Jessica Yue’s traditional Chinese fan dance, Burnaby Lyric Opera, Murphy and the Cats’ toe-tapping 1920s jazz beats, Bollywood dance with Karima Essa and many more.
Zornzita Dance Ensemble will perform traditional Bulgarian dance and V’ni Dansi will showcase traditional Metis dance.
