The most romantic spot in Burnaby to share a meal with your beau is Hart House Restaurant, according to a new report.
Hart House made the Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in Canada list by OpenTable, a restaurant tech and reservation company. Hart House was the only Burnaby restaurant included.
OpenTable generated the list from more than 1.1 million reviews and dining metrics including the percentage of five-star reviews, the number of alerts set, the percentage of reservations made in advance and direct searches, according to a press release.
OpenTable said 51 per cent of Valentine's Day reservations were made at least five days out and recommended booking a table by Feb. 9.
The average spend per meal in 2023 was up 48 per cent year-over-year versus non-holiday days, and the release said the trend is expected to continue.
Vancouver restaurants Lupo Restaurant & Vinoteca and Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant also made the list, as well as Pier 7 Restaurant and Bar in North Vancouver, Atlas Steak + Fish in Langley, and Old Surrey Restaurant in Surrey.
