BMHA year-end award winners

Burnaby Minor Hockey handed out its year-end awards recently. Jordan Pink earned the Alfred Balfry bursary, while Jenna Velji received the Gary Boyle award. Both awards are given to players displaying character, sportsmanship and playing ability.

Kiana Tsui won MVP female, while Jennifer Ackerman was the MVP female goalie.

Jayden Bains won the Jack Gilroy award for outstanding atom house goalie. Sebastian Gill-Peterson took the Terry McLean award for MVP house netminder.

Outstanding senior and junior referees went to Damon Williams-Roulston and Taylor Baron, respectively.

Rep coach of the year went to midget A3 bench boss Ken Guthrie. House coach of the year was awarded to Atom C1's Perry Ho. Midget girls' coach Yanus Khan won the female coach of the year.

Association head coach Jack Tsui received the President's award for outstanding contribution to the association.

Rebecca Chau was chosen winner of the Don Boyd award for her service to the association.
