The Burnaby Minor peewee C4 hockey team won a house tournament in North Vancouver over the Christmas holidays.
Burnaby took the gold medal following a 6-3 victory over the host North Van. The minor team will also get an added bonus when coach Richard Rothwell makes good on his promise to allow the boys to shave his head should they win the tournament gold.
Rothwell declared at the start of the tournament that he would let the team shave his head in return for the gold medal.
Burnaby Minor went 3-1 in round-robin play at the tourney and then won both playoff games to take the top prize.
Rothwell will have his head shaved following the team's 7:30 p.m. home game today (Tuesday) at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre.
