Simon Fraser University's Helen Crofts placed sixth in the women's 800 metres at the World Student Games in Shenzhen, China Aug. 18. Crofts finished in a time of 2:04.40, well behind the winning personal-best 1:59.56 time of Olha Zavhorodnya of Ukraine. Crofts qualified seventh overall with a 2:02.98 clocking.

Burnaby's Rohan Devraj was named to Canada's under-15 cricket team for the International Cricket Council's Americas tournament in Winnipeg, which began this weekend.
