Mountain Mantas mount podium at Burnaby meet

Hannah Cui was a Division 1 ironman at the recent Burnaby Barracudas Grand Prix swim meet at Central Park outdoor pool last month.

Cui placed in the top two in six separate girls' races, including first place in the 50-metre butterfly, 100m freestyle and individual medley.

The Burnaby Mountain Manta also placed runnerup in the free sprint and 50m backstroke and breaststroke.

Jasmine Morrison also won the Div. 2 girls' 50m back.

Desiree Wu and Lane Allen both earned silver medals in their respective Div. 2 and 4 races.

Elva Yu won a pair of bronze medal in Div. 1.

On the boys' side, Div. 6 Manta Jun Jay Liu won five gold, winning the 50m fly, placing second in the 100m back and 200m IM, and finishing third at both distances in the free.

Bryan Cheung was a four-medal winner in Div. 5.

Cheung took first place in the 50m free, second in both the 100m free and 200m IM and third in the 50m fly.

Deryck-James Tsang won all three Div. 1 disciplines - 50m fly, free and 100m IM.

Harvey Lee took a different medal each in three Div. 3 races. Lee won the 50m fly, was second in the 100m IM and third in the 50m freel.

Kenneth Ng and Jacky Tung both won two medals, including individual gold in the 100m breast and 50m fly, respectively.

Bryan Yu won three medals at Div. 3, including a pair of silvers in the 50m fly and back.
