Burnaby's Ilirian Zalli captured the individual senior boys title, firing a five-under par 139 over two rounds at the B.C. high school AAA golf championship this week at Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club.
Zalli, who is the defending B.C. junior boys champion, competed for his David Thompson Secondary, which placed 18th among the aggregated school teams.
Leading the way was Claremont, as the Victoria-based squad overcame a two-shot deficit after one round to take the team trophy by eight strokes over Vancouver College.
Zalli finished two shots ahead of Earl Marriott's Lauren Kim.
Two months ago, the 16-year-old captured the Humber College PGM Western Canadian junior boys tournament title at Surrey's Northview Golf and Country Club.
