Calling all food lovers!
Brace your tastebuds for a round-the-world treat: The Bite of Burnaby culinary festival is back for a second year.
This year, the month-long festival will take place from March 1-31, 2022. Participants will have the opportunity to sample specially curated menus and limited-time offers.
“With the effects of COVID hitting businesses hard, we wanted to help out by showcasing the diverse range of food and dining opportunities available here,” Tourism Burnaby marketing manager Catherine McCooey says.
From sophisticated dining to casual fare, there will be something for everyone. All COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be observed by participating restaurants.
“Bite of Burnaby showcases the depth and breadth of diversity Burnaby has to offer,” McCooey says.
“It’s a real opportunity to try different cuisines that you haven’t before.”
Thinking of participating in the food festival? Here are four great reasons to enjoy this year’s Bite of Burnaby:
A perfect March Break activity
Looking for a way to entertain little ones on their week off from school? Checking out participating restaurants in your area is the perfect adventure activity for March Break. Make a day out of trying something new.
While you’re out enjoying the many local parks and wilderness hikes Burnaby has to offer, why not cap off the cap with an order of food from a local participating restaurant?
“March Break is the best time to get out and about and see Burnaby and the diverse cultures our restaurants can offer,” McCooey says.
Price points for everyone
With options priced at $15, $30, and $60, Bite of Burnaby is a chance to sample a diversity of foods while supporting local businesses.
Whether you opt to take-out, dine-in, or get delivery, there are many ways to participate in the event.
Some restaurants are offering options at each price point, which range from a takeout sampler to a full three-course meal for two. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to sample something new while boosting a neighbourhood restaurant.
