Hot on the heels of T&T at Metrotown in Burnaby now requiring customers wear face masks while in the store comes news that another local grocery store is making shoppers mask up while strolling the aisles.
According to a statement published on its website, Whole Foods – which operates a story in Burnaby’s Brentwood neighbourhood – is asking all customers to wear a face mask.
They will even supply a face mask if you don’t have one.
“We are requesting that all customers wear masks while shopping in our stores to protect the health and safety of our team members and communities,” reads the statement. “Whole Foods Market will be providing face masks at the entrance of all stores for customers who do not have their own face covering.”
It’s a good move because it’s not always easy to find face masks for sale.
These are some of the other ways Whole Foods stores are dealing with COVID-19.
“We are operating under social distancing guidelines in our stores and facilities, ensuring that interaction among team members and between team members and customers can happen at a safe distance,” said the statement. “All Whole Foods Market team members, Prime Now Shoppers and third-party workers are required to wear face masks while working. Along with the required face masks, team members are also offered gloves and personal face shields for additional protection.
