"Believe in kindness."
That's the montra that Tim Hortons workers in Burnaby, and thousands more across the country, hope will inspire local communities to give this holiday season.
And the nation-wide restaurant chain has launched a new twist on a popular fundraising campaign to help those in need over the winter months.
The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign takes place tomorrow, Nov. 13, and runs until Nov. 19, and will be sold at 17 locations in Burnaby.

According to Tim Hortons, 100 per cent of proceeds will be donated to charity organizations that provide aid, food or programming to families.
Beneficiaries from the Burnaby restaurants include Athletics4kids, Food Banks of Canada and Make-A-Wish Canada, BC and Yukon.
The baked good, at $1.50 plus tax, is a white chocolate sugar cookie with red and green sprinkles basked into it.
Each cookie is then decorated with white icing in the shape of a smile.
"For more than 25 years, Tim Hortons guests have come to know and love Tim Hortons annual Smile Cookie campaign," said Tim Hortons spokesperson Meghan Giffin in a release.
"The [Holiday Smile Cookie] campaign was created to give guests an opportunity to give back this holiday season and help to continue making a difference in their communities."
