Dozens of people braved the wet weather to hit the pavement in the Burnaby Lake Run Sunday morning. This year's run, put on by the LaPower Running Club and sponsored by Concord and the Burnaby NOW, included a 1.8-kilometre run for kids and five- and 10-kilometre runs for those with varying abilities. Despite the rain, many showed up, including a selection of regional politicians. Among the runners were Vancouver-Kingsway MP and B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix, Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley and Burnaby Councillor James Wang. — Photos by Jennifer Gauthier
