Fishy fun at Lougheed Town Centre

The Vancouver Aquarium Aquavan is coming to Lougheed Town Centre, in time for the last few days of spring break. The Aquavan will be on site on March 22 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the shopping centre's website.

Kids will be able to touch live sea creatures and meet Bee-Bop the Beluga mascot. There are also workshops, crafts, face painting and giveaways planned.

There is also a colouring contest - sheets can be picked up at customer service or be downloaded from the centre's website - for a family membership and prize packages.

Spring break at Chapters

Chapters at Metrotown is also celebrating spring break with events all week long.

On Monday, it's Hats off to Dr. Seuss, with activities centred around the author. On Tuesday, there are inside/outside games; on Wednesday, a Lego event including storytelling; on Thursday, a royal dress-up party; and on Friday, Klutz crafts.

The events start daily at 11 a.m., according to Krishan Berar, customer experience manager for the store.

High tea with the BBOT

The Burnaby Board of Trade is hosting a high tea dim sum event at the Nikkei Centre in Burnaby on March 27 from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m.

The networking event includes a special guest - Seiji Okada, the new Consul General of Japan in Vancouver, according to the board's website.

An array of sushi will be served. Tickets are $20.

The Easter Bunny comes to Brentwood

Mossop the Easter Bunny is putting on a show at Brentwood Town Centre on March 30 at 11 a.m.

There will be crafts afterwards, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., according to the centre's website.

Children are also invited to a meet and greet with Mossop from noon to 12:30 p.m.

The show is at the centre court and crafts are in the toddlers' play area.
