Get ready to celebrate Korean culture at this free annual celebration coming to Burnaby this weekend.
On Saturday, June 16, the 21st Korean Cultural Heritage Festival is coming to Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Korea, this year’s festival will be showcasing Korean heritage through performance, food and entertainment.
At noon and again at 4 p.m., Kukkiwon Taekwondo demonstration performances will take place. The exact lineup has not yet been announced but the event website suggests a much-awaited K-Pop competition and concert.
Previous years have seen more than 35,000 visitors in a single day, and there’s a good reason to believe the 2023 Korean culture event will draw as many people.
The admission for the event is free and no registration is required, so enjoy the multiculturalism of Burnaby in its glory at the event.
